Moving Again! This Time Virtually...

I saw this coming a long time ago. Since that day, I knew things in our household wouldn't be the same anymore. It won't be just about me. There will be two of us to love so it's natural that I have to share mummy, daddy, toys, and even... my blog.

But, is there a need to for the new blog to look so... masculine? I mean, whatsup with the gun in the blogskin? It's daddy's doing, I just know it. Mummy would never allow such violence in our blog if she had a say it in. What? mummy says it's cool? That's it. I'm so not talking babbling to them anymore.

Well, at least I'm still holding fort for our new blog editorially.

With much reluctance, I introduce you my our new blog http://www.googoogang.blogspot.com/

Sunday is Funday!

Mummy and daddy planned to ditch me in the playground near our house to spend some private time this morning. Their plan foiled when I cried murder the second mummy released her grip on me. Muahahaha...

Why are you walking away, mummy?

Boohoohoo...

Say what? I get a fruit treat if I sit still? Oookay...

Later that day, daddy fed me cereal with papaya, pear and apple puree (yummy!) for lunch.

Me in my Bumbo. In case you're wondering, this is NOT a nude shot. This is a child friendly blog, ya know?

Is it not obvious that I'm wearing a diaper?

See? I'm really wearing a diaper lah.

More photos before my lunch. Sigh, these days I need to work hard for my meals...

Things Mummy Bought This Week

Whilst waiting for the Leapfrog LittleTouch LeapPad Learning System to arrive from the US, mummy bought 3 Polo Ralph Lauren rompers for baby E, a Philips Avent Isis iQ Duo Twin Electronic Breast Pump (that costs USD250!), and a few other random baby stuffs online.

Poor daddy must be so kicking himself now. He is the one that showed mummy how the computer, and more importantly, the Internet, works. Now, she spends an average of $800 a month on online shopping ALONE. Doh!

Grocery Shopping Day

Mummy and daddy went to Carrefour to stock up on food and baby supplies, followed by dinner at mummy's favourite burger joint.

Water Baby

Mummy and daddy went to Jumbo Seafood at East Coast for dinner to satisfy mummy's craving for steamed crabs.

After that, we took a slow stroll along the beach to work out the dinner - not that I need to work out mine since I only had my usual cereal for dinner, pfft! Still, it was great fun dipping my feet into the cold sea and chasing the waves with daddy.

I think I'm ready to go home now... the water is a little cold... brrrr...

We Are (May Be) Expecting A Boy!

The doctor said she thought she saw something between the baby's legs during today's scan. Since it is too early in the pregnancy to be 100% accurate, mummy says she will name the baby "E" for now.

Mummy's Cravings

Donuts from Donut Factory
Pig trotters with black vinegar
Fish and chips drowned with tartar sauce and ketchup
Pan seared foie gras
Greek olives stuffed with feta cheese
Pizza Hut's pizza with extra melted mozzarella
Ben & Jerry's ice cream
MOS Burger fries swimming in mayonnaise
Char Kway Tiao with extra black sauce
Swordfish sashimi and Ikura (salmon roe)

Tsk tsk, isn't she a glut? And always blaming it on the little one swimming in her tummy...

I IZ Angel!

Daddy did this for me because I had been such an angel and was at my best behaviour for the entire day. We first went for lunch at the Changi Beach Club, then shopping at Tampines Mall (so that mummy can stock up on wet wipes and cereal for me), and the day ended with dinner at grandma's place.

Picture was taken before we left home. The day is especially memorable as it was my first outing with mummy and daddy, sans aunty Lani (mummy's helper), who was out enjoying her day off.

First Fall. And I Don't Mean The Season.

When mummy nipped off to the air the towel after my morning bath, I decided to free fly from the bed. What mummy saw made her heart sank to the floor - I was lying on the floor on all fours and bawling my eyes out. I cried till I emptied my morning feed on mummy, and could only stopped when daddy presented me with a teether when he came to clean my sick. These adults! Don't they know better than leaving a baby unattended?

Note from mummy: I IZ SORRY.

My First CNY!

Sorry for the long hiatus but mummy has been feeling really tired these days. Given that I pay her in tears, turd, snot and spittle, I really can't drive the poor woman too hard.

My first CNY went great though my anxiety around strangers meant that I didn't do very well at home visits. I cried at all my three home visits and wouldn't allow anyone except for mummy to come near me. That aside, everything else was great fun, I had new clothes to wear, tasted Mandarin Orange, Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw and grand aunt's Tiramisu for the first time!

Here's me in my first pair of Levi's on the third day of CNY, with a Fox romper (a gift from mummy's friend, aunty Carolyn) and a Gymboree headband.

Wait a minute daddy, *wave hands*...

Can I remove this headband? I think it's cramping my style.

There, my head feels lighter already. Here's a great pose with a smile to match.

I think I'm old enough to try something new. Look ma, no hands!

I Iz Cheh Cheh!

I have a 7 weeks old sibling whom I will get to meet in person on September 18 or as early as August 2008, given how impatient a baby I was!

It's Positive!

Mummy is looking more tired than usual and daddy's face turned a funny shade of green when he saw the lines on this stick. Hmm, I wonder what is going on?

Foot = Food

This little piggy went to the market... *happily gnawing at my toes*

This little piggy stayed at home... *glance at daddy taking pictures*

Wachalookin at? I was just practising my nursery rhyme!

The Morning After

First morning in my new house. Mummy and daddy let out a huge sigh of relief when they saw how well I was adapting to the new environment.

Houston, We Have Landed.

Despite all odds, we moved in the disguise of darkness (it was 8pm when we reached the new house).

Mummy and daddy, after spending a day on their knees scrubbing and getting the house ready, are just glad that they have crossed the second hurdle (the first being moving our things from the old to the new house).

The next hurdle, will be unpacking the two and a half truckloads of things we have hauled from our old house. It's tiring just thinking of it, according to mummy. She and daddy should really be easier on themselves since it was no mean feat moving house TWICE in a week. WITH a baby in tow. Mummy, big hugs to you and daddy.

Miu Miu or Me?

Mummy went here and bought this Miu Miu bag to match the Nouvelle Horlogerie Calabrese Fl'ora daddy gave her three months into her pregnancy, since the adjustable leather strap was more forgiving on her then swollen wrist.

Suffice to say that the amount she spent was large enough for the credit card company to come a-calling to verify the transaction.

Humph, I just hope she's not whittling away my college fund. Crazy Emoticons

Daddy Gets Cheesed Off By Bad Service

Lousy service really bothers my daddy. Enuff said.

The Day Mummy Cried

The day before handing the keys over to the new owners, mummy and daddy went to our old house to bid farewell to a place that gave them 9 years of happy times.

It wasn't easy for mummy, since the house holds loads of fond memories for her.

We will build new dreams and memories in our new house, daddy says.

Move In... And... Out... The Same House!

Mummy and daddy finally moved the last carton of our stuff to the new house.

Daddy took a look around and spoke mummy's mind when he said You think we should put up at another place for a week? Mummy, choked with emotions (and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of cleaning needed) , simply nodded.

We all ended up at aunty Fion's house that night, unannounced. Turned out that she will be away for a holiday - and leaving town that night - so we can use her house for the week! Can you believe our good fortune?

Final Goodbye

I came to say goodbye. This is our fourth and will be our last meeting. The last few times mummy brought me here, I didn't like your coldness very much. Now that I am bigger and braver, I will take a dip in spite of the chilly morning breeze.

There, I'm done. Goodbye.

Mummy The Perfectionist

I sometimes think mummy suffers from OCD. She has a weird habit of making sure that hangers in our wardrobes are spaced out equally, the dollar notes in her wallet have the same facing, things taken out of their storage place be returned to where they are kept (Everything has its place, she always says), folded clothes are of the same size and have straight corners, fluffing AND removing lint from our sofa cushions with a sticky tape so that the couch will look "inviting" (to whom, mummy? You and daddy are the only ones that sit on that couch!). Her system of categorising and sorting things is so complex that one will need a GPS to navigate through.

The way I see it, daddy seems to have it easy. His dirty dishes will be swiftly (and quietly, nary a word of protest from mummy) removed from the table, bedside table, or where ever he chooses to have his meal. And if he ever lightly mention that he is thirsty, mummy will scurry off to the kitchen to fetch him a glass of water pronto. The latter act, I feel, is not an act of OCD, but one of love Crazy Emoticons

Grandma, I Don't Think This Fits.

Grandma bought this cute pink top for me just last week but I have a feeling she may have to return it to the store...

Mummy, you think I can wear it as a hat? Don't think grandma will be returning to the Batam store she bought it from any time soon...
